Since it was founded in 2009, the Il Festino ensemble has been performing at major festivals and concert stages in its home country of France and abroad. In 2012, the group recorded a first disc of Italian arias from the court of Louis XIII, which was very positively reviewed by critics. In March 2015 came a second CD of Stefan Landi’s arias. A third recording of the ensemble was dedicated to arias by Michel Lambert and Sébastien Le Camus. The year 2019 saw the publication of Donna, a collection of Claudio Monteverdi’s madrigals and motets for two sopranos.
