Founded in 2009, the French ensemble Il Festino specialises on the music of the 17th century. At about the same time, the mezzo-soprano Dagmar Šašková travelled to France to study French court music of the period, and stayed on to establish herself as a performer of this same repertoire. Together, here they will present a programme of works composed at the royal court of Louis XIV, including hitherto unknown works by Louis de Mollier, uniquely preserved in Brno.
